Defining Universes

Welcome to the Comics Course, a podcast distributed form of Graphical Literature in Society & History, Lit 209 from Miskatonic University's remote education program. We are presented by Professor Hamby and his T.A. Rowan.

Today we step back from specific works of graphic literature to define concepts that come up often in comics as well as the wider genres of science fiction and fantasy. We discuss the historical cultural view of where alien things dwell and the contemporary use of terms like alternate dimensions, parallel dimensions, multiverses and omniverses.
