From Hell - The Podcast Prologue

Welcome to the Comics Course, a podcast distributed form of Graphical Literature in Society & History, Lit 209 from Miskatonic University's remote education program. We are presented by Professor Hamby and his T.A. Rowan.

This week Rowan and I begin by talking about Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell's brilliant From Hell. Jumping off a theory from a crockpot ripperologist Alan Moore writes a fascinating story about Victorian England and madness. Rather than jump straight into From Hell we take this episode to talk about Moore, Campbell, the inspiration for the book, and the setting which is critical to understanding the story.
